Jake is a 3-year-old, 75-pound handsome boy who looks like he might have some Golden Retriever and Poodle in his mix. He came to us from a shelter in Kentucky, having been surrendered by his owner. Jake had an ear infection and a sore left eye when he arrived, but thankfully, he's now all treated and up-to-date on his vet care, including his neuter! He's a gentle soul with a polite demeanor, a quiet companion who is happy to lounge by your side and observe the world. Jake adores people and is generally good with other dogs, though he can be a bit possessive of his favorite toys or treasures, but he listens well when corrected. He's a loyal fellow who is eager to find his forever person and would make an excellent best friend for anyone who appreciates a large, loving, and loyal companion who will require regular grooming.

Ideal Home

Jake would thrive in a home where he can be close to his people. We don't have information on how he'd do with small children.

Ongoing Health

Jake has been fully treated for his past ear infection and eye condition. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been neutered.

Training & Support

While Jake is a well-behaved boy, he can be a bit bossy with other dogs over toys and treasures, though he responds well to "no." We cannot guarantee housebreaking as routines can vary, and he may need supervision and continued training in his new home.
