Valko (fka Nieko)

Valko, previously known as Nieko, is a handsome Husky mix who has mastered the art of being a secure and well-behaved companion! This intelligent boy is a pro at crate training, showing no inclination to escape or cause mischief when given his space. He settles beautifully while his foster is away and readily enters his crate on cue. Valko already knows "sit" and "down," and is diligently working on his "quiet" command, as he does enjoy a good husky chat from time to time! He is gentle when accepting food and treats and absolutely loves a good belly rub from his trusted humans. Get ready for some fun – Valko is a big fan of playing chase and will eagerly join in a game of tag!

Ideal Home

Valko would thrive in a home where he can continue to build trust and affection. He is not recommended for homes with cats. He has moderate energy levels and may do well with older children, but a meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure compatibility.

Ongoing Health

Valko is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Training & Support

Valko is incredibly treat-motivated and smart. He reliably sits before exiting his crate and before going outside. While he rarely barks when outdoors, he can be quite vocal indoors at passersby. He is an excellent leash walker, responding sensitively to even the slightest pressure, and readily follows his handler. He currently coexists well with other dogs after slow introductions.
