Moxie Foxie Friend to All

Moxie is what would happen if you mixed together sunshine, squeaky toys, belly rubs, and the world's sweetest little goober into one absolutely adorable dog. At around 5 years old, this lab/pittie mix is the definition of a family girl. She's playful, affectionate, goofy, and SO full of love. Moxie has this soft, sweet personality that makes people instantly fall for her. She's the kind of dog who looks at you like you personally hung the moon... and then immediately flops onto her back demanding tummy rubs as payment. She's a PROFESSIONAL at belly rubs, performing full dramatic fainting spells directly onto her back with all four paws in the air. She also loves toys and will proudly carry squeaky toys around the house, chomping and squeaking away. Everything is exciting to her and deserves a happy little tail wag.

Ideal Home

Moxie would love a home with a yard where she can zoom around, play with her dog friends, and live her best goofy little life. She would truly blossom with another playful dog buddy, as she absolutely adores other pups and gets SO happy around them. She currently lives with a small elderly dog and has done wonderfully. While she is a playful girl, tiny dog friends should be okay with a little goofy energy. Moxie also lives with a toddler and a 4-month-month-old baby in her foster home and does amazing. She has the vibe of a classic happy family dog. Cats are not her thing, so no kitties for Miss Moxie.

Ongoing Health

Moxie does have some skin allergies, which technically makes her a special needs girl. She just needs a limited ingredient diet and regular vet care to help keep her skin comfy and healthy.

Training & Support

Moxie is super smart and easy to live with. She's wonderful on leash, crate trained, treat motivated, and knows commands like sit and lay down. She has wonderful dog manners and reads social cues beautifully. If another dog gets too pushy, she'll politely say, "Okay ma'am that's enough," and she even backed off immediately when a small dog corrected her for being too playful.

• Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

Transportation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
