Taki is a distinguished 4-year-old, 42 lb Retriever mix with a heart of gold and a penchant for bowties! He joined us as a stray and has since become a master of cool, calm, and collected living. Taki is a true gentleman who enjoys leisurely strolls, quiet naps, and simply being in good company. He's a real "dude" who marches to the beat of his own drum and would love a canine friend who understands and respects his independent spirit. He's also a tall boy who can easily clear a fence, so keep that in mind! Taki is also our longest resident and has waited far too long for his forever home.
Ideal Home
Taki would do best with a canine companion who respects his independent nature and is happy to give him space to relax. He is a tall boy and can jump a fence easily if left unattended in a yard, so securing his environment is important.
Ongoing Health
Taki is heartworm positive. He is deserving of a great home and with proper treatment, he can live out the rest of his life happy and healthy.
Training & Support
Taki walks well on a leash and knows how to sit. He's an easygoing boy who is happy to be wherever, whenever.

Transporation
Taki is currently located with our rescue partner. His adoption fee includes transport to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions. Due to import regulations, we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.
