opie

Opie is a sweet, resilient Husky who was found at Animal Control and in heartbreaking condition, severely matted and clearly neglected. He's a medium-sized, male, adult dog with a medium coat, primarily black and white. Opie is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and house-trained. He's known to be affectionate, playful, smart, friendly, funny, and loves food. He is good with other dogs and children under 8, though his interactions with children 8 and up are unknown and with cats are unknown.

Opie would thrive in a home that can provide him with the love and care he deserves as he continues to heal.

Ongoing Health

Opie is Heartworm Positive and is currently undergoing treatment in partnership with our veterinarian. Some areas of his coat had to be shaved due to matting, but his coat is expected to grow back.

Training & Support

Opie is house-trained. We are still getting to know Opie, and with time, care, and love, we know he’s going to shine again.
