Duke Ellington is what happens when pure happiness takes over a dog! This sweet, goofy boy is all smiles, wiggles, and boundless joy. He greets every day with enthusiasm and makes sure everyone around him feels it too. With his bouncy personality, huge grin, and full-body hugs, Duke has a larger-than-life presence that's impossible not to adore. He's playful, affectionate, and hilariously expressive, feeling more like an over-the-top best friend than just a dog. He even serenades his humans with dramatic operatic performances! Duke is believed to be a Pitbull/Boxer mix, around 2 years old, and weighs 50 lbs.
Ideal Home
Duke thrives on human interaction and wants to be an integral part of your life. He'd do best in a home where he isn't left alone for extended periods. Apartment living isn't ideal due to his vocal nature. A backyard is important for him to zoom, play, and practice his "concerts." He needs a semi-active family that embraces his big personality and can provide structure, routine, and exercise.
Ongoing Health
No specific health concerns are noted.
Training & Support
Duke knows how to "sit" and is treat-motivated, enjoying learning new things. He is crate trained and potty trained. He can pull on the leash due to excitement, so continued leash training will help him polish his manners.
