Bombon is a sweet, approximately 9-month-old German Shepherd mix who weighs about 33 lbs and stands 16 inches tall. She was found alone and scared in Saltillo, Mexico, after her brother tragically passed away. Despite her rough start, Bombon is a brave, intelligent, and exceptionally trainable pup. She's a bit shy at first with new people, but once she trusts you, she becomes incredibly affectionate. Bombon loves to cuddle, play, and go on adventures like hiking. She enjoys giving and receiving kisses and walks well on a leash. She gets along well with kids and other dogs, and she's even crate trained!
Ideal Home
Bombon would thrive in an active family that enjoys hiking and exercise, and who has a fenced backyard for her to explore. She would do best in a home with other dogs, as she enjoys their company. Her ideal family will have experience with dog behavior and training, and will approach her with open hearts and minds, understanding the needs of a rescued animal who may require extra patience and education.
Ongoing Health
Bombon is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, and her 4DX and heartworm tests are negative. She receives monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (Nexgard Spectra) and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
While Bombon is crate trained and an excellent learner, she is not yet house-trained. Her foster family works hard to provide a safe and enriching environment for all their animals, but due to the sheer number of pets needing care, they are unable to house-train each one. Bombon will benefit from consistent positive reinforcement and continued patience as she learns this skill in her new home.

- A virtual or in-person home check will be conducted.
- A virtual meet-and-greet with Bombon and her foster family will be arranged.
- If all parties agree it's a good fit, an adoption contract and trial adoption period will commence.
Transporation
Bombon is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast in January-February 2023. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee, which will be finalized prior to transport.
