Meet handsome Denver! We just love this boy! Denver is a 4-6 year old, 60#, mostly Chow Chow mix with a gorgeous, fluffy, cream-colored coat. He is a people lover, but he has to check them out first. Denver bonds quickly to his people and will be following you around in no time at all! He is your typical Chow Chow: very sweet, independent, quiet, can be aloof, and will show his stubborn side from time to time, but is VERY loyal and loving to his person(s)! A Chow Chow savvy owner's dream dog! He is low-medium energy and would fit in a home where they want a calmer and quiet dog that doesn’t require tons of exercise or enrichment. Denver is good with other calm, non-confrontational dogs with a similar energy level. He has not been around children while in our care, so we recommend that any kids in the home be 13 and above. He is well-behaved in the home with a calm temperament. Denver is house-trained, adjusts pretty quickly to his surroundings, and doesn’t need to be crated. He likes to go for walks and explore his surroundings and absolutely loves car rides. He makes quite the impression when out for a walk at the park, receiving many compliments about how gorgeous and handsome he is! Denver enjoys his outside time and will alternate between sunbathing, exploring, and breaking out into a sprint from one side of the yard to the other, but can frequently be seen checking to see where his person is! He will make you laugh when he shows his goofy playful side, which seems to come out of nowhere! He knows "sit" and "come," but in typical Chow Chow fashion, it's demonstrated when he is "feeling" it, which doesn't always coincide with when his person is "feeling" it! Denver LOVES cheek and butt scratches! As far as treats go, he definitely prefers soft treats over crunchy, and bully slices are always appreciated! A home with a fenced yard would be a plus so he can have some off-leash time in his own secure space. Denver is a beautiful boy; if you are looking for a loyal, well-behaved companion, then he just might be your man!

Ideal Home

Denver would thrive in a home where he can be a loyal companion to his people. A fenced yard is preferred for off-leash time. We recommend a home with children 13 and above.

Ongoing Health

Denver has been fully vetted, is up to date on vaccines and preventatives, heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Denver knows "sit" and "come," but his participation depends on his mood. He prefers soft treats and bully slices. He is house-trained and doesn't need to be crated.
