Lex is the epitome of a good time! She's a bouncy, playful dog who is loving of everyone and excited to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four. She knows how to have fun no matter where she is! The second we met Lex, we fell in love. She is constantly booming with joy and is the queen of zoomies, kisses, and tug. When she first arrived, she ran up with a wagging tail and a huge smile, showering everyone with affection. Lex loves to play hard with other dogs and has boundless energy!
Lex is a Pitbull Cattle Dog mix with beautiful cattle spotting and super cute pointed ears. She's 56lbs of pure happiness. In playgroups, she did great with all kinds of dogs, playing for long stretches. She has a more robust play style but is considerate and good at reading other dogs' vibes. She played the hardest with confident females who also loved to play. Lex would likely do great in a home with male or female dogs, though she seems to have a slight preference for the ladies! Just be prepared for a day full of play.
Ideal Home
Lex needs a home with a yard and an active owner who is familiar with Cattle Dogs, as she is a true "wild child." She is very high-energy and loves to be active. While Lex has not been tested with children, we believe she would love them due to her loving nature. We suggest an older child who can handle her enthusiastic play style. We can perform any necessary testing. Lex is a definite no for cats, as she was overly enthusiastic when meeting our cat, Biggie, and we fear she could be too rough during play.

Lex has no known health issues.
Training & Support
Lex's leash skills still need some perfecting. She can pull a little when trying to greet new people, but she is eager to please and would train very well with consistency.

Lex is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pickup is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
