About Cade
Heddo! My name is Cade, and I also respond to "Big Stinky!" I'm a handsome 5-year-old, 90-pound American Bulldog who's been patiently waiting for my forever family for FOUR YEARS! I was rescued after being found abandoned in Azusa, CA. Despite my size, I have a heart full of love and enjoy nothing more than a good belly rub while sprawled out on the couch – it's my favorite way to show I'm feeling relaxed and safe. I can be a little cautious around new men at first, but once I trust you, I'll be your most loyal companion. I absolutely love adventures, especially hiking and playing in the water. I enjoy exploring new smells and finding the biggest sticks to parade around! I'm an independent guy, but I do love quality time with my people. I'm happy to hang out in the same room or rest my head on your lap for some good scratches. I get along well with friendly dogs my size and smaller, but I do tend to chase cats, so a feline-free home would be best. Oh, and I'm a super gentle boy around little ones, too! I'm very food motivated, which makes training a breeze, and I'll always let you know when someone's at the door – I'm a great guard dog! Squeaky toys, tug-of-war, bones, and frozen treats are some of my favorite things. My foster family and trainer have worked hard on my skills, and I'm proud to say I walk nicely on a leash (though I prefer off-leash adventures thanks to my excellent recall!), I'm e-collar and muzzle trained, and I know many commands. I'm a super smart learner and would love a yard for zoomies, but I'm also happy with park trips. You can even follow my adventures on social media @CadeTheBulldog! I'm dreaming of a patient and loving home with people who will embrace my personality and take me on all sorts of exciting adventures. Previous American Bulldog experience is a plus!
Ideal Home
Cade would love a home with people who are patient and understanding, especially when it comes to him warming up to new people. He'd prefer a home without cats, but he does well with other dogs his size and smaller as long as they are friendly. A yard would be a bonus for zoomies, but regular trips to the park are also great!
Ongoing Health
Cade has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Cade is food motivated and learns very quickly. He is e-collar trained, muzzle trained, and has excellent recall. He is also trained to alert when someone is at the door. He walks well on a leash but prefers off-leash adventures. He is gentle around children.
