Rue

Rue is a 1-year-old, petite Pit Bull mix who weighs around 37 pounds. She may be a little shy at first, but there's a sweet and loving dog waiting just beneath the surface. When Rue arrived at the shelter, she was scared and unsure of the people around her. Since then, she has made tremendous progress and has begun to show us her wonderful personality. As she gains confidence, Rue becomes affectionate, gentle, and eager to be part of the fun.

Ideal Home

Rue is looking for a patient family that will give her the time she needs to settle in and continue building her confidence. She does very well with other dogs and could enjoy having a canine companion in her new home. She may also do well with children, provided they are respectful of her space and understand that she can be sensitive in new situations. Because of her timid nature, a home with toddlers would likely be too overwhelming for her.

Training & Support

House training is unknown, as most of our dogs arrive as strays. New people can still make Rue a little nervous, so she may need some time to warm up when first meeting someone.
