About Princess Girl

Princess is a spirited 4-year-old spayed female Terrier Pittie mix with a heart full of joy and energy! She was once at risk due to her exuberance, but thankfully, she's now safe and sound in a foster home, eagerly awaiting her forever family. Princess is up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and receives monthly prevention. She's crate-trained, house-trained, and has a good understanding of commands. While she can get excited and jump for attention, a simple correction and a command like "sit" will have her calmly accepting pets. She's an enthusiastic chewer, so providing her with appropriate chew toys like Kongs and bully sticks will keep her happily occupied. Princess also communicates her needs, including potty breaks and affection, through barking.

Ideal Home

Princess would thrive in an active home with older children, an active couple, or an active single person who can appreciate her zest for life. She needs a securely fenced yard, as she is not off-leash trained without one. She's not suited for apartment living. Princess can be the sole furry companion, as long as she receives plenty of exercise, or she'd do well with a canine buddy who can match her energy levels.

Ongoing Health

Princess is up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Training & Support

Princess knows commands such as sit, come, stay, off, and heel. She understands that sitting is required for petting and is receptive to training. She is an avid chewer and benefits from appropriate chew toys to redirect this natural behavior. She will bark for attention, including to go outside and for affection.
