Meet Mia Gutierez!

Mia is a sweet 5-year-old, 10-lb miniature poodle mix with a soft grey coat and a heart that's learning to trust. She arrived with her best friend, Coco, and these two rely on each other for comfort and confidence. Mia is initially very fearful of new people and environments, often freezing or hiding while she observes. She's not aggressive, just shy! But once she feels safe, especially with familiar faces, her playful curiosity shines through, and she loves to show it off with Coco. Mia has also shown herself to be cat-friendly, calmly respecting a feline friend. She is still working on potty training and will thrive in a patient home that allows her to progress at her own pace.

Ideal Home

Mia needs a patient and understanding home that will allow her to build confidence slowly. She must be adopted with her bonded companion, Coco. We will not place our small breed dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

Ongoing Health

Mia is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed.

Training & Support

Mia is working on potty training and will benefit from a consistent routine and gentle, positive reinforcement.

• All adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check, and final contract.
• Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
• We select the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's needs.

Transporation

Mia is located in the Northern, NJ area and can be transported within a 50-mile radius.
