Meet Brody, a delightful 5-year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix who's ready to find his forever home! Brody is the perfect blend of playful energy and laid-back charm. He's happy to go on outdoor adventures or snuggle up for a lazy day. He's a lovable goofball who enjoys dressing up for fun occasions and loves to be with his people.
Ideal Home
Brody does best with friendly, laid-back female dogs and prefers a relaxed playmate. He may be a bit much for smaller or timid dogs, but he's also content as an only dog if he has space to run and play. A secure backyard is ideal for him. He's gentle with people and has done well with children. We recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids (8-10+) who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. Brody absolutely cannot live with cats.
Ongoing Health
Brody is a healthy boy. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Brody is house-trained and crate-trained, and does well when left alone in his crate. He walks calmly on a loose leash and enjoys strolls. He's smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. He thrives with structure, consistency, and encouragement. While he's made great progress, he may still get a little excited around assertive male dogs. With calm guidance and positive experiences, he continues to adapt well. He would be a great match for someone experienced with Cattle Dogs, Pitbulls, or other intelligent working breeds. He enjoys daily walks, light adventures, and activities like scent work, agility, or obedience classes to keep his mind sharp.
