Mateo is a wonderfully silly and athletic boy who is ready to leave his past behind and find his loving forever home! He was rescued from the streets a few years ago after an attack, making him the second-longest resident at the shelter. But don't worry, Mateo is more than ready to embrace his future with a family to call his own!

Mateo is full of energy and absolutely adores a game of fetch, especially with his favorite rubber ball. He's a natural athlete and would be the perfect companion for someone who enjoys hiking, staying active, or even playing sports like football or baseball. His playful personality shines through with his goofy antics, like rolling on his back, wiggling with excitement, and showering his favorite people with enthusiastic face and ear kisses. When the weather cools down, Mateo also shows his cuddly side and loves to snuggle up close.

Ideal Home

Mateo would do best as the only pet in the home, as he is not fond of cats or other dogs, likely due to his past experiences.

Ongoing Health

Mateo's adoption fee has been sponsored and covers his spay/neuter, microchip, and current vaccines.
