Hi there! I'm Jace, a charming 55-pound bulldog mix with a heart of gold. My coat is a handsome blend of white and brown, and my personality is even sweeter. I absolutely live for snuggles and can't get enough of belly rubs and head scratches. I'm a smart cookie too, already mastering "sit," "down," and "leave it." With a treat in sight, I'm a motivated learner ready to pick up even more commands!
When it comes to playtime, my favorite toys include a Kong filled with kibble or peanut butter, chewy bones, and my collection of stuffed animals. I enjoy a good game of fetch, though I might be a little reluctant to give the ball back, and I love a good tug-of-war! I'm a true goober who doesn't quite realize how big I am and will happily try to cozy up on your lap just to be close. I'm looking for my best friend to follow around the house and just chill with.
Ideal Home
I'd love a home where I can be your constant companion. I'm not good with other dogs, which seems to stem from fear rather than aggression, likely due to my past of being chained outside and facing starvation. I can get along with cats, but they should steer clear when I'm eating, as I tend to guard my food.
Ongoing Health
One side of my face will never fill in due to an old injury, but this doesn't affect my ability to be a cuddly lover! I am neutered and vaccinated. I was heartworm positive, but I've completed treatment.
Training & Support
I am house-trained and crate-trained. I also walk very well on a leash. My past experiences have led to some food guarding, so continued positive reinforcement and careful management around my meals will be important.
