He was rescued from a high-kill shelter with only minutes to spare and has been receiving treatment for heartworms, which are treatable. Despite his past hardships, Smokey has a spirit full of love and gratitude. He is polite, calm, and well-behaved indoors, with no accidents or complaints. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him a perfect companion. Smokey's resilience and sweet nature shine through, proving that even the darkest past can lead to a bright future.
