Blaze

Blaze is a handsome 5-year-old Border Collie weighing 54 pounds. He has a sunny disposition and a zest for life that's as bright as a perfect summer day! Blaze loves a good game of fetch or frisbee and cherishes his time with his favorite people. He's a happy-go-lucky, affectionate, and adventurous boy who enjoys being in the middle of everything, from morning walks to park trips or backyard barbecues. Blaze offers a wonderful balance of energy; he's always ready for fun and activity but equally content to relax and enjoy downtime with his family.

Ideal Home

Blaze would thrive with an active family experienced with herding breeds. He walks beautifully on leash without pulling and is well-socialized. A fenced yard would be ideal for Blaze to have plenty of space for his favorite games. He can happily live as an only dog or with a canine companion. Due to his herding instincts, which can include nipping at ankles, families with older children are the best fit. He is curious about cats and could live with dog-savvy felines.

Ongoing Health

Blaze will be an even happier boy when he loses approximately 7-8 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Blaze is crate trained and keeps four paws on the floor. He knows some basic obedience commands and is eager to learn more. With his intelligence, a little time, and some tasty treats, he's sure to master anything!
