Meet Ike! This goofy, lovable Labrador Retriever mix's favorite thing in the world is being with people. He has never met a stranger and believes everyone is a potential best friend! Ike is full of classic Lab enthusiasm and would love a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. He's still learning that personal space exists and may occasionally forget just how big he is, but his affectionate nature and eagerness to please make him a great candidate for continued training. Ike's promise: "I might not fit in your lap, but I'm going to try anyway and I'll make you smile every day." Ike's vetting includes DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, and micro-chipping.
Training & Support
Ike is still learning that personal space exists and may occasionally forget just how big he is, but his affectionate nature and eagerness to please make him a great candidate for continued training. We know our dogs very well and have spent countless hours with them, learning all of their quirks and goofy personalities. From the moment they are accepted into our program we provide behavior & medical care to prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally training, and providing social enrichment. We provide socialization for our dogs through playgroups and one on one bonding time, where we will also work on their other skills such as leash training and basic commands. Our goal is to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts and just want someone to be understanding with them, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Transporation
Ike is available for transportation in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH at predetermined locations and times. Private custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request with financial responsibility on the adopted family. For those being picked up at our Angleton, Tx location, there is a $75 fee. Our transport buses or vans are equipped with air conditioning for comfort and onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. Our Adoption Coordinator will help to find the closest transport pick-up location to you!
