Baby Huey

Baby Huey is a handsome adult male American Staffordshire Terrier mix with apricot/beige and white/cream coloring. He came to us from a difficult hoarding situation, along with many other animals. When he first arrived, Huey was extremely thin, scared, and shut down, hiding in his run for months. It took a lot of patience and love for him to begin to trust. He was truly "broken" when he came to us, but he's come such a long way! Now, Huey adores all the volunteers and has blossomed into a wonderful companion. He's fantastic on leash and a true champ during walks, showing off his amazing potential. Huey has been with us for far too long and is desperately waiting for someone to see his incredible spirit and give him the loving home he deserves.

Ideal Home

Huey would thrive in a quiet home where he can continue to build trust and feel comfortable. He needs patient adopters who will give him the time and space he needs to truly come out of his shell and become a happy, confident pup. Given his past, a home without other animals would be best for him to focus on his human connections.

Ongoing Health

Huey is neutered and vaccinated. He came to us in poor condition but has since recovered and is in good health.

Training & Support

Huey is house-trained and great on leash. He just needs continued patience and positive reinforcement to blossom into the amazing dog we know he can be.
