Toby, Mr. Cutie Patootie

Meet Toby, a 6-month-old, 26-pound Carolina-Corgi mix with a heart as big as his adorable ears. Toby's story began with heartbreak; abandoned at a high-kill shelter at just 4 months old, he was scared and alone. Thankfully, a loving foster stepped in, and with the help of his foster sisters, Toby has slowly come out of his shell. He's now a sweet boy who loves playing outdoors, sunbathing, and quietly following his favorite people. Toby is shy with new people and needs time to adjust, but once he feels safe, he's an incredibly loyal and gentle companion. He does not resource guard and has wonderful manners around other animals. Toby thrives in the company of other pets and looks to them for reassurance, making a confident, playful dog in the home a requirement. He's a smart puppy who is making great progress!

Ideal Home

Toby would do best in a quieter home without young children. A happy, confident, playful dog in the home is required to help Toby build confidence. Yards MUST be adequately and fully fenced. We do not accept electric or underground fences.

Ongoing Health

Toby is fully vaccinated with 3 rounds of shots, neutered, and heartworm negative. He is kept on heartworm and flea preventatives.

Training & Support

Toby is currently puppy pad trained and has learned quickly. He is expected to transition to outdoor potty training easily with a patient family and a canine role model. He is still working through his fear of loud noises and new environments.
