If there were an Olympic event for being the Goodest Boy, we're pretty sure Zander would take home the gold... then immediately roll over for a belly rub to celebrate.
At just 12 months old and about 50 pounds, Zander is a very handsome young pup! Dressed in his striking brindle-and-white coat, he's impossible to missbut it's his personality that really steals the show.
Zander firmly believes that every person he meets is a friend he simply hasn't met yet. Belly rubs? Yes. Ear scratches? Absolutely. Compliments? He accepts those graciously, too. He lives life with the kind of joyful optimism we should all aspire to.
When it comes to other dogs, Zander is all about making friends. He hasn't met a dog he doesn't like yet and currently lives with a 3 other dogs. He enjoys playing and is always up for a game of "catch me if you can": At adoption events, he's social, polite, and happy to greet both people and pups with his signature goofy grin and tilted head..
After the fun is over, Zander flips the switch from party animal to professional couch companion. He's house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and has wonderful manners around the house. He's just as happy snoozing beside you as he is chasing toys in the yard.
One of the things everyone notices about Zander is his incredibly gentle nature. You can handle his paws, check his teeth, pet him while he eats, or fuss over him from head to toe, and he simply responds with calm, trusting sweetness. He truly wants nothing more than to love and be loved.
Every single day, Zander reminds everyone that bully breeds aren't defined by outdated stereotypesthey're defined by dogs like him: loyal, affectionate, hilarious, gentle, and completely devoted to their families.
