Mondo is a stunning 5-6 year old, 50-55lb Australian Shepherd mix who is looking for an active and loving home! Don't let his age fool you; he's got plenty of pep in his step and loves to play. Mondo boasts a striking charcoal grey coat with a white belly and adorable spotted legs. He's up-to-date on all his shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He's also a pro at potty training and crate training, making him a great companion.
Ideal Home
Mondo would thrive in a home with regular exercise, whether it's through walks, hikes, or camping adventures. He's not a couch potato or an apartment dog, and he needs an owner who will include him in their daily life. He can be an only dog or have a canine buddy, preferably a medium to large breed, male or female. He's a great fit for school-aged children, couples, or a single person. He is NOT suited for a home that uses tie outs or electric fences.

Mondo is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Mondo knows basic commands and is very food motivated, making him eager to learn anything you want to teach him. He does need to be leash trained as he is not off-leash trained. While he may have had issues with fence climbing in a previous setting due to lack of exercise, his current foster home has not experienced any such issues with regular playtime. He is not meant to be left in the yard unsupervised; he needs to be an active part of the family. He also rides well in the car without anxiety.
