Bentley

Bentley is a 2-year-old Sato mix weighing 30 pounds. He was found as a tiny puppy on the streets of Puerto Rico and rescued before making his way to Maryland in search of a forever home. Bentley is a calm, gentle guy who is settling into foster life nicely. Like many dogs who have experienced a lot of change, he is still decompressing and learning that he is finally safe. His foster believes that once he fully adjusts, he's going to be a completely normal, happy dog who enjoys being part of the family. Bentley is great with dogs, cats, and kids. He enjoys having other dogs around and especially likes running around the yard with his canine friends. While another dog in the home would likely help him continue building confidence, he is not dependent on other dogs and may do just fine as an only dog with the right family. He has been doing very well with house training and has shown little interest in the resident cat. Leash walking is still a work in progress, so his future family should be prepared to help him build confidence and learn that adventures on leash can be fun. If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who just needs a little time to blossom, Bentley may be your perfect match.

Bentley would thrive in a home where he can continue to decompress and feel safe. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, he could also be happy as an only pet with the right family.
