Rex 3141

Rex is an incredible 3-year-old German Shepherd mix who we rescued from the Miami-Dade County Shelter back in November. He has been patiently waiting in boarding for over 5 months, and it's taking a toll on him. This sweet, big, strong boy deserves so much more than a kennel! Rex is a high-energy, loving dog who absolutely adores his walks. He knows some basic commands and has been working on his leash manners, as he can pull and sometimes jump up when he's excited. He is eager to please, and with continued training, he will be even more fantastic. Our volunteers and kennel staff adore him; he's even been a perfect guest during overnight stays with volunteers, showing he's great with kids and happy to be part of a home, even temporarily. He is dog-friendly, but a meet-and-greet is always required to ensure a good match. Rex urgently needs to get out of boarding. A foster or adopter would change his entire world!
