Ned

Hi, I'm Ned! I'm a handsome boy with a coat that looks black but shines with hints of brown in the sun, and I've got adorable white toes. While I might sport a grumpy expression, I promise I'm a happy and loving pup inside! I journeyed to Minnesota from New Mexico with my siblings, Dusty and Lucky, as part of "The Three Amigos."

Ideal Home

I thrive with a canine companion, as I rely on another dog for support, comfort, and warmth. I'm not built to be an only dog! I also love to be on the sofa and would be thrilled if you'd let me snuggle with you there and in bed at night.

Ongoing Health

I'm a fast drinker, so my foster mom rations my water to help me slow down.

Training & Support

I'm potty trained and kennel trained, but I'm also trustworthy enough to be left out when you're gone. I've mastered "sit," "off," "come," and "wait," and I'm working on "down" and "stay." I'm a world-class snuggler and love to play, especially chasing rolling things and playing tug-of-war. I am a bit of a counter surfer, but I'm learning that "off" means stop. I also enjoy wrestling with dogs of all sizes and tend to "show off my teeth and gums" when I play, which my foster mom affectionately calls "Jaws." I eat my meals from a Snuffle Mat to help me slow down. While I might bark and jump a little when meeting new people, I'm friendly with kids and have a 10-year-old foster sister who adores me. I haven't met cats yet, but I'm curious! My bark doesn't sound like a big dog; it's a bit squeaky when I'm scared, which doesn't happen often.
