Hank is a handsome Australian Cattle Dog with a tender spirit and a heart that's ready to learn what love truly feels like. Alongside him is his brother, Timothy, who has shared in the same difficult beginnings and is also learning how to navigate the world with cautious hope. Born into a boarding kennel with very little human interaction, Hank and Timothy spent their early lives surrounded by many dogs but without the comfort of blankets, toys, treats, or consistent people who cared for them. Because of this, they both missed out on the socialization and stability that every dog deserves. Today, Hank is a sensitive and nervous boy, especially around new people. Beneath his fear is a dog who wants to trust, who watches quietly, who tries hard, and who blossoms in small but meaningful ways when treated with patience and kindness. Once he feels safe, you'll start to see glimpses of his personality: soft curiosity, quiet companionship, and even moments of playful joy.
Ideal Home
Hank needs a very special adopter: someone experienced with fearful or under-socialized dogs, in a quiet, child-free home with very limited chaos. People who are home often and willing to go at his pace are essential.
Ongoing Health
Hank's adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.
Training & Support
Hank is a sensitive and nervous boy, especially around new people. He needs a commitment to exclusively positive reinforcement and someone who will celebrate the tiniest victories along the way. His adoption will include training support to help set him and his new family up for success. He may never be the kind of dog who wants to go everywhere or meet everyone, but he has the potential to become a deeply loyal, trusting friend to someone patient enough to guide him.
