Meet Salt!
Salt is an 11-month-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, weighing 35 lbs and expected to reach 45-55 lbs when fully grown. Her birthday is in August 2025. Salt was found abandoned and scared, but she has blossomed into a loving and curious companion. She thrives on human connection, enjoying gentle pets, belly rubs, and even cuddling up with her people at night. While initially shy with new faces, she quickly shows her sweet nature by rolling over for belly rubs and happily accepting treats. She's very attached to her humans and will follow them everywhere, always eager to explore.
Ideal Home
Salt needs a home with a fenced-in yard to help her feel secure as she continues to build confidence on leash. She would also thrive with another confident dog in the home to show her the ropes and help her feel more at ease. Older children who are gentle and won't chase her would be a great fit.
Ongoing Health
Salt is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and on monthly preventatives.
Training & Support
Salt has completed a board and train program to boost her confidence and will come with ongoing trainer support. She is house-trained and crate-trained. She knows how to sit and is learning more commands. While she is working on leash walking, her biggest motivator is food, which will be a great asset in her training journey. She is not a barker and is very quiet.
