Meet Cleo! This sweet, two-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix is an absolute angel who has overcome so much. After being abandoned and then becoming a mama to a litter of eight puppies, she bravely battled heartworms. Now that her pups have found their forever homes, it's finally Cleo's turn to be chosen. She's a young, playful girl full of happy energy and has a joyful personality that makes her a delight to be around. Cleo is house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is a wonderful companion.
Ideal Home
Cleo would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced yard, as she's a talented jumper who can clear a four-foot fence! She needs a loving and stable family ready to shower her with affection. Because she can be a little unsure when left alone for long periods, a family who can help her build confidence and reassure her that being apart doesn't mean abandonment is ideal. Given her size and playful nature, older children would likely be the best fit. She also gets excited by bicycles and motorcycles, so a confident handler who can manage her on walks is important.
Ongoing Health
Cleo has successfully completed her heartworm treatment. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, all cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport.
Training & Support
Cleo is house-trained and walks well on a leash. She can be a bit too interested in cats, and while not yet cat-tested, it's recommended to be cautious. She may need guidance on managing her excitement around bicycles and motorcycles during walks.

Transporation
Cleo is currently located in South Mississippi. We welcome both local and out-of-town adopters. Virtual meet-and-greets are available, and we can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to Buc-ee's in Kodak, arriving late on Fridays. Please note that we cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.
