Meet Nola, a resilient and stunning Bluetick Coonhound born in January 2023. For almost a month, Nola bravely navigated the beaches of Bucerias, relying on the kindness of strangers for sustenance. As her strength waned, dedicated volunteers tirelessly searched until they found her resting on the sand. Upon arrival, she was underweight, anemic, and battling Ehrlichia, later diagnosed with TVT, a treatable cancer. Thanks to dedicated care, including antibiotics, vaccines, and a full course of chemotherapy, this courageous girl is now healthy, healed, and eagerly awaiting her loving forever home. Nola is great on the leash and adores her walks, displaying a sweet, resilient spirit and a deep gratitude for affection. As a typical Coonhound, she has a distinctive voice and will bay and howl. Nola survived because people cared, and now she deserves a family who will cherish her for the incredible dog she is.
Ideal Home
Nola would thrive in a home that understands her Coonhound heritage, including her vocal nature.
Ongoing Health
Nola has been fully vetted and treated for Ehrlichia and TVT. She is currently healthy.
