Thelma

This little stinker is Thelma! She's a roughly 2-year-old weenie mix, weighing in at about 22 lbs. Thelma and her sister Louise were rescued from the Wichita Animal Shelter. She might be a little bigger than your average dachshund, but she's got a heart full of love to give once she gets to know you! Thelma enjoys her playtime in the yard and is a pro at knowing when it's time to kennel up. With a little encouragement, she's sure to learn even more tricks! She truly is a great dog who just needs someone to take a chance on her. When she's happy, she'll stand up at the baby gate, looking for pets and affection, reminding us of Dobby from Harry Potter – just waiting for her special sock!

Ideal Home

Thelma would love a home where she has space to run and play. She's a bit shy at first and needs time to build trust, so a patient and understanding family will be key to helping her feel secure and loved.

Ongoing Health

Thelma has had all her vetting completed and is ready to go to her new home. She is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and has received a 6-month heartworm prevention shot and microchip.

Training & Support

Thelma is already good about kenneling and would likely enjoy learning more tricks with a patient trainer. Building her trust will be the most important step.
