Susie Q

Suzie Q is a sweet 9 ½-year-old Beagle/Pointer mix with a gentle spirit. She first came to the shelter as a puppy in 2017 and found her forever home in 2018. After many happy years, she was returned to us earlier this year. Suzie Q is a friendly and easygoing girl who loves a calm and quiet environment. She enjoys short walks, a predictable routine, and cherishes time spent close to her person.

Ideal Home

Suzie Q would thrive in a calm household, ideally with a senior adopter or someone who enjoys a slower pace of life. She prefers to be the only dog in the home and would do well with older children.

Ongoing Health

Suzie Q is heartworm positive but currently shows no symptoms. She is undergoing treatment and is doing well. She has no other known health issues.

Training & Support

Suzie Q is house-trained and can be left to free roam without any destructive behavior. She gets along with other dogs in public settings, largely ignoring them, but prefers to be the sole canine companion in a home.
