Meet Arthur! This handsome 5-year-old, 78-pound Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix is a true gem with a heart as big as his personality. Arthur was found wandering and, after being brought to a shelter, a loving foster home stepped in to give him a second chance. He's a delightful blend of playful energy and affectionate cuddles, making him the perfect companion for any adventure.
Ideal Home
Arthur would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, a structured environment, and plenty of opportunities to be a central part of the family. While he doesn't require another dog to be happy, he'd love a family that enjoys including their furry friend in daily activities. Due to his size and enthusiastic nature, a home with children who understand how to interact with a larger, energetic dog would be ideal to prevent accidental knock-overs during play.
Ongoing Health
Arthur is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health concerns.
Training & Support
Arthur is fully house-trained and crate-trained, settling nicely in his crate for extended periods. He walks well on a leash, though he may pull a bit initially before settling into a routine. He absolutely adores car rides – mention them and you'll have his undivided attention! Arthur is curious and gentle around other animals, including dogs of various sizes, cats, and even pot-bellied pigs, showing good social cues.
