About Atlas Moose the Floppy Eared Goober

Atlas Moose is the kind of puppy that makes you laugh within the first five minutes of meeting him. Maybe it's the giant floppy ears, or the tail that's practically as long as the rest of him, or the fact that he can somehow detect a treat from what feels like three zip codes away. Whatever it is, this boy has personality for days! He's goofy, happy, affectionate, and still very much figuring out how to navigate life with those oversized puppy feet. Atlas is approximately 5 months old, currently weighs around 42 lbs, and we believe he may be a German Shepherd/Bloodhound mix. He's sweet, loving, curious, playful, and always ready to have a good time. He loves treats and toys, especially balls, and already knows how to play fetch! Atlas has met adult dogs and has done well with them, though he can come on a little strong at first. He's still learning social skills but respects when other dogs ask for space. We think Atlas could do well as an only dog or with another medium to large dog that enjoys playful puppy energy.

Ideal Home

Atlas is going to need a family committed to training, socialization, and all the work that comes with raising a large breed puppy. Because he is a growing puppy with typical puppy energy, we think he'd do best in a home with a backyard where he has room to run, play fetch, stretch those long legs, and burn off energy.

Ongoing Health

None noted.

Training & Support

Atlas is working on crate training and is doing great learning where the appropriate potty places are. Like any puppy his age, he'll need continued consistency, routine, and structure as he grows. He's still very much a baby and is learning new things every day. The family that adopts him should be prepared to continue helping him learn how to be the best dog he can be.
