Bubba Bear is a 3-year-old, 60 lb bundle of sweet, gentle energy. We believe he's a Black Lab/Pittie mix, but with rescue, that's always a delightful mystery! He has a face that will instantly make you smile, and a personality that's even sweeter. Bubba is a calming presence, a quiet shadow who brings peace wherever he goes. He's not a dog who demands attention, but rather one who is content to simply be near his favorite people, making working from home a little less lonely. He's a bit of a slow burn, preferring to observe and explore new environments at his own pace. Once he's comfortable, his affectionate side shines through with gentle head nudges and polite paw offers. And don't let his toothless grin fool you – he absolutely adores treats and has the most adorable way of maneuvering his tongue to get them! Bubba is crate-trained but prefers company, and he's doing wonderfully with potty training.
Ideal Home
Bubba would thrive in a calm home that matches his mellow personality. He's more of a homebody and would likely be happiest in a residential neighborhood with a fenced yard, where he can enjoy a predictable routine and a peaceful environment. Apartment living or life in a busy city probably wouldn't be his ideal match. He's dog-friendly but prefers peaceful coexistence and a calm companion over a playmate. He has also done well with cats and is happy to be tested with any other animals to ensure a perfect fit.

Training & Support
Bubba is crate-trained, but he prefers to have company nearby. He's doing wonderfully with potty training and has learned to use a doggy door if needed. He may need time to adjust to new environments and people, so patience will be key.

Transporation
Bubba is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page! A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
