Hazel

Hello, I’m Hazel, an American Bulldog mix with a white and tan coat and a big smile. I’m a playful and sweet girl who loves to have fun and cuddle with my people. I’m house and crate trained, and I get so excited to go for walks. I’m very strong and can pull hard, so I need an owner who can handle me and teach me some manners.

I’m good with other dogs, especially mellow ones. We don’t know how I feel about cats, but I can be cat-tested if you'd like. I have a lot of energy and like to run around and play with balls. Because of my size, any children in the home would have to be over 10 years old. I also like to relax and nap in my own space. I have a large kennel where I feel comfortable and safe. I don’t like to be outdoors for too long and prefer to be inside with my people. I’m afraid of being abandoned, so I don’t like to go far from home or my people.

Ideal Home

A home with older children (over 10) and patient owners who are experienced with large, strong dogs. Hazel needs a home where she can be close to her people and doesn't have to spend too much time outdoors.

Ongoing Health

Hazel has some digestive issues and requires a special diet of lamb and rice.

Training & Support

Hazel needs continued training to help with her leash pulling. She also needs to be crated when unsupervised due to a tendency to chew on things.

Hazel is being fostered in New Kent, VA, but can be transported to other states for the right home. A transport fee may apply.
