Maya

Maya is a sweet 67 lb girl who was surrendered to us due to health issues. When she arrived, she had a large mammary tumor, was extremely anemic requiring a blood transfusion, and was diagnosed with Tick Fever. The tumor has since been removed, and she is doing very well! Her foster mom describes her as a shadow, always happy and eager to meet other dogs with no signs of aggression. Maya has excellent house manners, comes when called, and is content to be wherever her person is. She's even been fine sleeping outside her kennel when recovering from surgery. Maya is a very cooperative patient and lets her foster mom tend to her incisions without issue. Her favorite thing in the world is balls – she gets so excited watching pickleball games and loves when a ball escapes into the yard! Maya is ready to be someone's devoted girl.

Maya is looking for a loving home where she can be your shadow and companion.

Ongoing Health

Maya's vet recommends medical retesting for cancer every 3 months for up to a year. Local adoption is preferred due to potential future treatment costs.

Training & Support

Maya has good manners in the house and is doing well with crate training. She is a cooperative patient and is very patient during her recovery.
