Georgey is an 11-month-old, 32 lb pup who is believed to be an Australian Kelpie mix with either a Lab or Catahoula. He's petite and appears to be full-grown. Georgey was born on a ranch in South Texas and came to us with his brother, Johnny. He has been in foster care since March 2025. Georgey is a playful, submissive, and very agreeable boy who loves to please. He's the class clown of his foster group and enjoys toys, though he does tend to deconstruct them, so durable toys are a must! Georgey gets a little sad when other dogs are playing and he's in his kennel, but his whines usually result in him joining the fun. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, big and small, and has shown no issues with cats. He also loves children, strangers, and really, any human!
Ideal Home
Georgey would thrive in a home with another dog (or dogs) to play with. He would also love a kiddie pool to splash in and opportunities for walks to explore new sights and smells. He is a relaxed and easy-going boy that would fit well into most household types.
Ongoing Health
Georgey is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and has been dewormed. He is heartworm positive and has completed a 30-day course of antibiotics. He will need to remain on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested at the end of that period. He will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.

Georgey loves to please and enjoys being around his people. He is described as a relaxed and easy-going boy.

Transporation
Georgey is currently located in South Texas, near the Texas/Mexico border. He can be transported to various locations in the Central US and the East Coast every 2-3 weeks. Some of the transport locations include Albany, NY; Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT; Nashua, NH; Willington, CT, Stamford, CT, and Dayville, CT; Steubenville, OH, Cincinnati, OH, and Grove City, OH; Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ; Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD; and Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA. Please note that transport stops in Grove City, PA, and Washington, PA are currently on hold.
