Papi Chulo De La Calle

Papi Chulo De La Calle is a quiet, confident, and handsome boy who knows exactly how to secure a spot on the couch and make himself an easy and enjoyable companion. He is estimated to be around 3 years old and is likely an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, though as a rescue, his breed and age are our best guess. Papi is a well-mannered, medium-energy gentleman with excellent social skills, lovely house manners, and an easygoing nature. He is currently thriving in a foster home with six other dogs of various sizes and breeds, and he gets along beautifully with all of them, even sharing sleeping space! He thoughtfully and respectfully greets new dogs, handles introductions well both on and off-leash, and would be comfortable as a solo dog or in a multi-dog household. Papi is steady and not overly demanding; he enjoys companionship but doesn't require constant entertainment, making him wonderfully easy to live with. He is crate trained, trustworthy in the home, rides beautifully in the car, and walks nicely on leash. When meeting new people, Papi likes to play it cool at first, gathering information with a few sniffs before deciding you're a friend. Once he settles in, he relaxes comfortably and shows his sweet and easygoing nature, handling new situations without becoming overwhelmed.

Ideal Home

Papi would love a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy some outdoor time. He can happily join a home with other respectful dogs or be the one and only canine companion. He cannot live in a home with cats.

Papi is located in Texas. Transport is available nationwide, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Pick-up locations for Canadian adopters are in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
