Tipper Tater is a roughly 1-year-old, 14-pound bundle of charm with satellite-dish ears and a striking blue eye that will capture your heart. We believe he's a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, but with rescue, breed and age are always a fun mystery! Tipper is a gentle soul who prefers a peaceful existence. He's dog-friendly and happy to coexist with other dogs, though he's not much of a playmate. He's also proven to be a cat-friendly gentleman, showing no interest in chasing our resident feline. Tipper is a "slow burn" – he takes his time getting to know people, observing from a distance before offering his trust, which makes those moments of connection incredibly meaningful. He's quiet, not demanding, and simply enjoys being near his people.
Ideal Home
Tipper would thrive in a lower-energy, calmer environment where he won't be rushed. He needs a predictable routine and a safe place to bloom. A home with a yard would be ideal over apartment living. He's looking for understanding people who will celebrate his small victories and let him move at his own pace.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions were mentioned.
Training & Support
Tipper is crate trained and quiet in his crate. He is also potty trained and a wonderful houseguest. He enjoys treats and takes them gently. He seems interested in toys but is still figuring out how to play with them. His sensitive nature means he needs patience and reassurance to build confidence.
