Rowan Tiny Gentleman

Meet Rowan, a tiny gentleman who might just be a dog in disguise! He's a compact pup, weighing around 39 pounds, with the most endearing floppy ears and soft, soulful eyes that will melt your heart. Rowan is estimated to be about 1.5 years old, a sweet spot where he's past the boundless puppy energy but still full of life and love. We believe he's a lab and pittie mix, with a unique "shrink-ray" effect that makes him extra special.

Rowan is a gentle, quiet, and sensitive soul. He's not one to demand attention; instead, he prefers to quietly observe and win you over with his calm presence. New environments and people can make him a bit nervous initially, so he thrives with patience and understanding as he builds trust. He might hide or stick to quieter spots at first, but once he feels safe and unpressured, he'll start to relax and choose to stay near you, making those moments of connection feel incredibly rewarding. He's the perfect companion for those who appreciate quiet companionship and the joy of earning a furry friend's trust.

Ideal Home

Rowan would be happiest in a calm environment with patient individuals who understand that shy dogs need time to decompress. A home with a yard and a quieter setting would be ideal, as busy apartment living might feel overwhelming for him. While he hasn't been officially tested with children, older, calm kids would likely be a better fit due to his initial nervousness around new people and loud environments. We can certainly kid-test him for approved adopters.

Ongoing Health

Rowan is a healthy boy and has received all his necessary vetting, including DAPP vaccinations with a booster, Bordetella, Rabies, and multiple deworming treatments. He is also microchipped.

Training & Support

Rowan is respectful and easygoing with other dogs, handling introductions calmly and minding his own business. He seems more interested in observing the world than roughhousing. While he hasn't shown any significant behavioral issues, his sensitivity means he benefits from a patient approach. With time and a loving environment, he'll undoubtedly continue to blossom.

Transporation

Rowan is located in Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel for all our pets. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
