Meet Lady Anne, a stunning 4-year-old Great Pyrenees whose story is one of resilience, devotion, and unconditional love. She came to us when she was expecting, seeking a safe haven for her unborn puppies. Thankfully, a kind neighbor alerted us to her situation, and we were able to rescue Lady Anne and her nine newborn puppies just in time.
Under the care of an experienced foster family, Lady Anne slowly learned to trust and feel safe. Initially protective, her gentle nature and the patience of her foster family allowed her to relax. She needed a thorough grooming to remove painful mats, ticks, and fleas, and her belly was trimmed so her puppies could nurse comfortably. Her sole focus throughout this time was the well-being of her little ones. For seven weeks, she was a constant, watchful presence, never straying far from her puppies. Even after they were weaned and had found their own loving homes, Lady Anne continued her vigilant watch. It was only when the pen was empty that she finally sought rest inside, her duty fulfilled.
Great Pyrenees are known for their purpose, and Lady Anne has found a new one. She now happily patrols the property, checking on the livestock with quiet confidence and even befriending the dogs she once kept at a distance to protect her pups.
Lady Anne can be a bit reserved when meeting new people, taking her time to assess them. Once she senses kindness, she opens up completely, offering joyful full-body wiggles and leaning into affection. Her soft, gentle whines express her happiness to be by your side. She is cat-friendly, easygoing, gentle, and deeply loyal, ready to be more than a pet – a steadfast companion. Lady Anne has already proven herself an incredible guardian, and now she's seeking a family to love and protect.
