DJ

DJ is a happy and resilient young male German Shepherd mix who came to us after a car accident when he was just 5-6 months old. His injuries required amputation, but you'd never know it! He's a proud tripod who loves to live life to the fullest and doesn't let his missing limb slow him down one bit. DJ is incredibly sweet and has a lot of love to give. He does well with cats and other dogs, though he can be a bit shy when meeting new furry friends and appreciates a gentle introduction. Due to his past trauma, vehicles and unfamiliar situations can be a bit frightening for him, so he's looking for a patient and understanding family who can help him continue to build confidence in new environments. He's already potty trained and crate trained, which is a fantastic start! While he can be a little nervous on leash, he's making great progress with consistent positive reinforcement.
