Bruce

Meet Bruce, a snuggly young adult Chihuahua mix who has perfected the art of lap sitting. At 15 pounds, he is currently a little chunky, with an ideal weight closer to 12 pounds. Bruce is a loyal, people-focused companion who may take a few days to settle into a new home, but blossoms with patience and affection.

Ideal Home

Bruce is good with dogs of all sizes. He can initially be intimidated and submissive, but warms up quickly and may even play. He has been accepting of dog-savvy, calm preschoolers, though he is intimidated by small children. Bruce is scared in new situations and appears fearful of men, while continuing to learn that men can be kind. He could live with another dog or be an only dog with plenty of lap time.

Ongoing Health

Bruce is neutered and vaccinated. He was a patient, well-liked visitor at his first veterinary appointment since entering rescue.

Training & Support

Bruce seems to be potty trained and uses puppy pads when he cannot get outside in time. He is learning crate training and leash walking, and has shown no destructive behavior.
