Teddy

Teddy is a delightful 3.5-year-old, 10lb bundle of love! His DNA reveals a charming mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and a few other surprises. When he first came to us, Teddy was quite matted, and after a much-needed shave, his beautiful coat has grown back! He's a pretty boy who will need regular grooming to maintain his good looks. Teddy underwent successful cataract surgery on both eyes, and after a period of healing with eye medication, his vision is now excellent! He's a true lap dog who adores snuggling and will happily climb onto his foster's lap. He generally gets along well with other dogs, though he prefers calmer companions and can become snappy if other dogs try to steal his food, so he'd do best as an only dog or with a quieter, older canine friend. Teddy is mostly house-trained, enjoys leash walks, and loves car rides. He's going to make a wonderful companion for the right person.

Ideal Home

Teddy would do best in a home with experienced dog owners and no children under the age of 8. He would also prefer a home without other active dogs and where he can enjoy his meals in peace.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes and is now healed.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but not perfect. He can get snappy with other dogs if they try to eat his food.
