Tobias

Tobias is a handsome young Sato, a dog from Puerto Rico, full of life and ready for his happily ever after! He's about 1 year and 5 months old and weighs around 25 lbs, with a charming Lab mix appearance. Tobias is eager for adventure and can't wait to explore the world with his very own family. He loves making new friends and would enjoy regular walks, visits to the dog park, or even doggie daycare to help him learn the ropes and socialize. More than anything, Tobias longs for a safe, loving place to call home, and in return, he promises endless love and loyalty.

Ideal Home

Tobias would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of socialization opportunities. He would do best with either a resident dog to guide him or a family committed to regular walks with other dogs, visits to the dog park, or doggie daycare.

Ongoing Health

Tobias has completed his heartworm treatment. Heartworm is a serious condition resulting from mosquito bites, but with treatment and ongoing monthly preventative medication, dogs can lead full and active lives. He has completed the required 4-6 week rest period post-treatment.

Training & Support

While we cannot guarantee housebreaking, all our dogs are working on crate training. Tobias is eager to learn and would benefit from positive reinforcement and consistent training.

Transporation

Tobias is currently in a Puerto Rico shelter and needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to travel there.
