Duchess is enjoying life in a foster home after a recent freeze and has quickly become a cherished member of the family. She's appreciative of affection and happy to be a quiet companion, rarely barking even when her foster neighbors' dog barks. Duchess is also a fantastic car rider, content to rest or sit quietly during journeys. She takes treats gently and loves her Kong ball, showing a willingness to learn new things like dropping it for a throw. She enjoys basking in the sun and, if invited, will snuggle up on the couch. Duchess takes her monthly flea and tick medication easily in a piece of cheese. She has been good with the 8-year-old child in her foster home.
