Meet Imogen - A Quiet Soul Ready to Bloom 🌸💕
Some dogs have lived a life full of adventures. Others, like Imogen, are just beginning theirs. 💖 Imogen is one of the sweet dogs rescued from our recent hoarding case, and while the world is still a big, unfamiliar place, she's making incredible progress every single day. The scared little girl who once kept her distance now happily seeks out affection, wags her tail when you approach, and will gladly curl up in your lap for cuddles. She absolutely ADORES snuggles, pets, and treats--especially the cheesy and meaty kind! 🧀🥩💕 Staff have consistently shared how much she's blossomed during her time with us. Imogen is a mixed breed dog, possibly with border collie and Australian shepherd in her lineage.
Ideal Home
Imogen will need a patient family that understands she's still building confidence. She's learning that walks can be fun (her leash skills are improving every day! 🦮), new experiences aren't so scary, and people can be trusted. Watching her come out of her shell has been one of the most rewarding transformations we've seen. 🌼 She has tested well with other dogs and is used to living with canine companions. Smaller or calm dogs would likely be the best match, as larger dogs can still be a little intimidating for her. 🐶 We haven't seen her around children yet, so if you have kids, we'd love for you to bring them along to meet her!
Ongoing Health
Imogen is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm & Lyme tested (negative!), flea & tick treated, on heartworm prevention, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Imogen's leash skills are improving every day, and she's learning that walks can be fun. She is a confident dog and needs patient support to help her continue to grow and trust.

Transporation
Imogen is located at 9331 State Route 124 Hillsboro, OH. We are open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. Adoption is open and easy; please come to the shelter to meet the animals in person to adopt.
