About Lola : The Tragic Story of a Mama Dog

At just 2 years old, this sweet lab mix girl Lola has already overcome so much, yet she remains one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs you could ever meet. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston alongside her newborn puppies, she showed nothing but trust and kindness toward everyone around her, even while caring for her babies. Lola had quickly become a staff favorite thanks to her calm, loving nature and incredibly easygoing personality. Her foster family describes her as “the best dog in the universe” — and it’s easy to see why. She is quiet, well-mannered, affectionate, and wonderfully easy to handle. Lola settles beautifully into home life and simply enjoys being near her people. She currently lives with another dog and young toddler children, and she does wonderfully with both. Lola's fosters found that she did not do well with very tiny animals and had to place her in a boarding facility for the last two months. The boarding staff love her and think that she is an extremely smart and obedient pup, who needs to be seen by the one person who can change her world. Lola weighs around 45 pounds, making her the perfect medium-sized companion. She has a calm and gentle presence that would fit beautifully into almost any home, whether you are looking for a family dog, a loyal companion, or an easygoing best friend.

Ideal Home
