Cali

Cali is a sweet and playful girl who was found wandering in a nearby county. She was briefly in a foster home, then adopted, but returned due to her high energy. She then moved to another foster home for several years, and most recently, she's been in a boarding facility after her foster dad lost his home during Hurricane Helene. Despite her past, Cali loves hard rubber toys, snuggles, and gives kisses to the kennel workers.

Ideal Home

Cali needs a home with a secure fence, preferably a privacy fence, and a nice-sized yard for her to play in. She can be very treat motivated but can take treats roughly when overly excited. For this reason, she should not be in a home with children under 12 years of age. Cali also tends to resource guard her food, so she cannot live with other animals that graze on their food all day and will need to eat separately. She needs to be the dominant dog in the house to ensure everyone gets along, and we're unsure how she would do with cats or younger children.

Cali is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Cali can be very excitable and may bump into you if she's running. She tends to resource guard her food and toys and needs to eat separately from other animals. She needs to be the only dog or the dominant dog in the household to ensure everyone gets along.
